Well my first WebDU is almost at an end so time for a wrap up blog post.

Both morning's keynotes have left the Adobe developer community with plenty of features to look forward to in new versions of Adobe products to be released in the near future.

Plenty of great designer/developer workflow improvements for Flash with Photoshop and Illustrator files being able to be imported with all layers intact. Also timeline to actionscript animation conversion engine written by Robert Penner.

Apollo talk aplenty with some big visions for the platform to be not just cross platform but cross device.

Heaps of great new features for ColdFusion 8. Top of my picks was the new <cfpresentation/> tag to generate Adobe Connect "like" presenations with Video,Audio support.

Finally nice to have <cfimage> as part of CF. Tim Buntel in his keynote hoped that the level of features in CF native image manipulation would make p for how long it has taken to get this feature into CF.

I attended pretty much all the Flex sessions and was finally able to get my head around some parts of the framework that had remained a bit mysterious. Thanks to Ted Patrick and Richard Turner Jones for letting me ask silly questions after their Day One sessions and thanks to Michael Labriola for his Day Two session which answered all my questions.

Socially it was great to catch up with developers I've met over the years and talk shop. Also a highlight to meet new Adobe developers from around Australia and the world.

The expensive imported beers at Microsoft's expense was pretty nice too.
