JDL Strategies

JDL understand the power of clients telling their stories themselves and wanted to provide this on their website. To accomplish this, JDL needed to deliver online video client testimonials.

Our business partners, Wild Blue Creative shot and edited the footage. Their specialty knowledge of web video techniques meant that the video was shot and edited with web delivery in mind, not as an after thought.

It was important to seamlessly integrate the video into the site and to do this Black Dot Digital leveraged the ubiquity of the Flash Player to deliver the video directly on the front page without needing to launch external video players.

A custom built ColdFusion Content Manager allows JDL staff to manage the site video profiles in house.

ColdFusion Flash Remoting was used to enable communication between the video player and the database enabling the images and video files to only be loaded upon user request keeping the video player itself lightweight.
